The American Standard Version (ASV) of the Holy Bible was first published in 1901.  It has earned the reputation of being the Rock of Biblical Honesty. Although the English used in the ASV is somewhat archaic, it isn't nearly as hard to understand as some passages of the King James Version of nearly 3 centuries earlier. This translation of the Holy Bible is in the public domain, since its copyright has expired.

North Terrace Church's usage of the ASV version is not intended to imply that it is the only Bible version with which one may seek, study, and find scriptural truth.  The ASV version is used because it was the only version found in the public domain that already had the individual verses coded and targeted in HTML.  This allows us to link scriptural references within an article to the bible verse identified.  We encourage comparisons be made between versions to understand Biblical truths and what is required of faithful servants by God.
