Believe John And You Will Believe On Jesus Christ!

"We have found the Messias!" That was Andrew's exclamation when he found his brother, Simon Peter (John 1:40-41). Andrew and another disciple of John were standing together with John. Jesus was walking by and John said, "Behold the Lamb of God! (John 1:35-36). The two disciples followed Jesus who turned around and asked them, "What seek ye?" They replied that they wished to know where he was staying. Jesus said, "Come and see." They went to see and stayed with Him the rest of the day for it was already about 4 o'clock in the afternoon.

We do not know all that transpired. We do know that John said Jesus was the Lamb of God, to be sacrificed for the sins of the whole world (John 1:29). The word was convincing enough for Andrew to find his Brother Peter and tell him about the Christ. Simon Peter also became a disciple and even an apostle of the Lord.

If you read of Jesus and His teaching in the New Testament, you will realize that He is the Lamb of God who takes away our sins. With the precious blood of Christ you are redeemed from your vain conversation received by tradition (1 Peter 3:18-19). He purchased His church with His blood (Acts 20:28). Christ is our passover lamb sacrificed for us (1 Corinthians 5:6). You, like Andrew, will want to enthusiastically tell your relatives and friends that you have found the Christ.
