Moments With Jesus Made A Believer Of Nathanael
"Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel!" exclaimed
Nathanael after talking with Jesus. Before this conversation Philip had
looked for Nathanael and finding him, said, "We have found Him, of whom
Moses in the law, and the prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son
of Joseph" (John 1:43-51).
Nathanael had replied negatively, "Can there any good thing come out of
Nazareth?" Philip answered, "Come and see." When Nathanael went to see
Jesus, he discovered that Jesus already knew him as "an Israelite indeed,
in whom is no guile!" The Lord knew him before Philip called him, while
he was still under the fig tree. Nathanael realized that was miraculous
knowledge and was persuaded that Jesus of Nazareth was the Son of God,
the King of Israel.
Tell your friends to "come and see" what God has had His servants
write in the Bible. They may be as wonderfully surprised as was Nathanael
to know that Jesus is the Christ, the Savior of the world.
