Mary Gave Birth In A Stable; She Laid Her Son In The Feed Box!

No room was left in the inn at Bethlehem, and so Mary "brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger" (Luke 2:7). Love and worship of the new little child made up for the lack of comforts. Angels of heaven praised God that night and announced to the shepherds the birth of the savior (Luke 2:8-20). The shepherds visited with Mary, Joseph and the baby and went away glorifying and praising God, telling everyone about what they had heard and seen.

"Mary kept all these things and pondered them in her heart" (Luke 2:19). When Joseph and Mary took the babe to the temple at Jerusalem to do for him after the custom of the law, Simeon, a just and devout man, took him up in his arms and blessed God, saying, "Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to Thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, . . a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of Thy people Israel" (Luke 2:25-35).

Anna, the aged prophetess of the temple, came in just then and likewise gave thanks unto the Lord and spake of the child Jesus to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem (Luke 2:36-38).

You would think that more folks would love and worship Him now, as the angels, shepherds, the old man Simeon and the aged prophetess Anna did then!
