In Turning Water To Wine Jesus "Made Believers!"

Better than the good wine Jesus made from water were the believers He made by this beginning of miracles and showing of His glory in Cana of Galilee (John 2:11).

During the marriage feast Mary, the mother of the Lord, told Him that there was no more wine. And she told the servants, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it" (John 2:5).

After Jesus had them fill six stone water pots with water, He said, "Draw out now, and bear unto the governor of the feast" (John 2:7-8). The ruler of the feast, unaware of the miracle, tasted the water that was made wine and called the bridegroom to say, "Thou hast kept the good wine until now" (John 2:9-10).

So those servants had helped the Lord perform the miracle by heeding Mary's warning, "Whatsoever He saith unto you, do it."

When each of us obey Jesus Christ, something greater than the turning of water to wine will result. What about those words which were among the last ones Jesus said on earth? "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved!" (Mark 16:16).
